Sometimes patients are not happy after a cosmetic procedure and in this session, Robert Goldberg, MD discusses his first-hand experience with post-blepharoplasty patients that were not satisfied with their outcomes. Dr. Goldberg is an internationally recognized surgeon, researcher, and teacher and is Chief of Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA School of Medicine. In this session Dr. Goldberg discusses the areas to consider to understand patient dissatisfaction including the psychology, anatomy, economics, pathopsychology and management following surgery. Physician experience and recognition of patient emotions are vital and key to a successful outcome. In addition to his role at JSEI/UCLA, Dr. Goldberg has had leadership and Executive positions in the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Reconstructive Surgery, California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
